Taking graduate courses as a Non-Degree Student
Are you:
- A Professional who needs a course to keep up a certification or advance your career?
- Considering whether to get an MBA or MAcc to complement you skills and experience?
If so, the Norm Brodsky College of Business at Rider allows qualified students to take up to 6 credit hours of graduate level coursework. If a non-degree student desires to take more than 6 credits in the graduate business program, he/she will need to fully apply to the graduate program.
To qualify, students must:
- Graduated with an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA OR has earned a graduate degree
- Meet the prerequisites for the specific class(es) to be taken.
At any point up to four years after successful course completion (defined as B or better), students can apply to the MBA, MAcc program, MS in Corporate Finance, or MS in Information Systems program. Once accepted to the degree program, the courses taken while students were taking courses as a non-degree student will be “transferred” and count towards the completion of the degree.
To apply under the non-degree student plan, complete the on-line application and forward your Resume and Transcripts to the Graduate Admissions Office. Non-degree status does not apply to the Executive MBA Program
*Please note: Students must achieve a final grade of at least a B in each graduate course taken at Rider and have at least a 3.25 GPA upon completion of the first 6 credit hours to transfer into a degree program
