Gill Chapel
Gill Memorial Chapel is our primary large group rehearsal and performance space. Originally built in 1965, today the facility meets the needs of students in a myriad of ways, serving as both a place of worship as well as a performance and rehearsal space that measures just under 5,000 sq. ft and houses our Casavant Organ with 16-foot Principal and 16-foot Posaune to the Pedal. There are also over 20 Wenger practice rooms located on the basement level, as well as an interfaith prayer room.
Talbott Music Library
The Talbott Music Library is the largest collection of Choral Music in the world housed right on campus. Part of the Franklin F. Moore Library building, located on the third and fourth floors, Talbott Library supports the music curriculum of Westminster Choir College as well as courses and programs for the School of Communication, Media and Performing Arts.
The Presser Voice Laboratory
The Presser Voice Laboratory provides students the opportunity to explore voice technology and conduct cutting-edge research. Our process-oriented approach guides singers’ studies from anatomy/physiology and acoustics to traditional/contemporary methods in a context of over-arching artistry, enabling them to become the best possible vocal artists, independent musicians, and teachers.
The Presser Foundation Bell Choir Rehearsal Room
The Presser Foundation Bell Choir Rehearsal Room accommodates the Westminster Bell Choir’s extensive collection of handbells and Malmark Choirchime instruments, and it features sound attenuation that will protect student hearing during rehearsals and minimize sound transfer to adjacent offices and classrooms. Hailed for its virtuosity, the Westminster Bell Choir performs on the largest range of handbells in the world – 8 octaves, from C1 to C9.
Wenger Practice Rooms
Rider University is home to 38 Wenger Practice Rooms, accessible to students 24/7 through their school ID swipe. Rooms are located beneath the Gill Memorial Chapel, in the Bart Luedeke Center, Kroner Residence Hall, and Lake House Residence Hall. Wenger is known for its SoundLok® Sound-Isolation technology.
Fine Arts Building
The Fine Arts Building on campus has been newly renovated and hosts 7 music classrooms with full teaching technology and pianos. It is home to the Yvonne Theater, the Spitz (our black box theater), the Presser Foundation Recital Hall, the Presser Voice Lab, and so much more.
Kroner Hall
Kroner Hall is the Living and Learning Community for Westminster Choir College first year students. Students are invited to live in this hall together to experience their first year with familiar faces nearby, and enjoy practice rooms with 24/7 access underneath their new residence.
Westminster House
Formerly known as Omega House, Westminster House is the primary office space for Westminster Choir College faculty. With choral studios for small group rehearsals, and studios for one-on-one lessons, Westminster House is a prime space for student development and faculty connection and mentorship.
