Program overview

The online Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate program provides individuals who have earned an undergraduate degree, and want to enter the field of accounting, the opportunity to enhance skill sets related to contemporary accounting knowledge. It is offered completely online by Rider’s dual AACSB-accredited Norm Brodsky College of Business, making it perfect for working professionals. There are two track options available, CPA and professional, so students can tailor their certificate to their personal career goals. 

Courses can be applied as accounting credits towards the CPA licensure requirements.

CPA track

This track is for professionals who have a business undergraduate degree and are interested in adding a CPA license to their credentials. Eligible students will receive the course credits needed to sit for the CPA exam.

Course work in the program offers the opportunity to learn accounting theory and practice, and to supplement that knowledge with courses in disciplines of your choosing, including tax, decision-making, cost management, financial statements and reporting and more.

In addition to being an excellent stand-alone credential, this certificate serves as a foundation for the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program. With admission to the MAcc program, students may apply the graduate level courses in the certificate to this 30-credit master's degree.
