In defending their work, members of Congress love to repeat a quotation attributed to Otto von Bismarck: ‘If you like laws and sausages, you should never watch either one being made.’ In other words, the legislative process, though messy and sometimes unappetizing, can produce healthy, wholesome results.
At The Rebovich Institute, we believe you must be up close and personal to learn about politics first-hand. Internships offer an unparalleled view into our government and our political processes.
Rider’s close proximity to Trenton allows us to take full advantage of the vast opportunities in and around our state capitol. Our director’s extensive career contacts in New Jersey politics allow us to help students tailor their internships and placements to a full range of their own interests.
Recent Rebovich interns have gained invaluable real-world experience by working on campaigns and in many federal and state legislative offices, the Governor’s office, state executive departments, county and municipal governments, lobbying firms, advocacy organizations, political consulting firms and in the offices of county prosecutors, district attorneys and judges.
Internships may take place during the course of a semester or in the summer, when stipends are available on a competitive basis to assist students working in unpaid internships.
