A shelter-in-place condition occurs when the outside environment is not safe to enter due to a threat from a human perpetrator, possibly an active shooter / hostile intruder or some other condition, such as a a severe weather system that makes it unsafe and requires you to shelter-in-place.
All people on campus must remain inside and be prepared to stay inside until the outside area is determined to be safe.
No matter how physically or emotionally uncomfortable you may become, you must not open a door or window. This may jeopardize the lives of everyone!
