The Office of Service and Civic Engagement (OS&CE) promotes a strong culture of service at Rider University by providing service experiences for all Rider students, staff, and faculty through a variety of on and off campus opportunities. Specifically, we organize campus wide days of service and support all campus clubs, organizations, and departments wishing to include a service component in their programs. Our initiatives strengthen the experiential development of Rider students as well as enhance the role of Rider as an agent of positive change in the Mercer County community.
Service Programs
The OS&CE host at least one on-campus day of service each month as well as offering ongoing service projects, a Hunger and Homelessness awareness week and providing resources for other groups to incorporate service into their meetings and events.
We serve as the clearinghouse for non-profit organizations in the community seeking Rider involvement through student volunteers, internships, or faculty-led projects. Our expanding number of partnerships with nonprofits in the community is increasing the number and variety of internships offered to Rider students. All activities and events sponsored by our office can be submitted as service hours for Engaged Learning.
If you would like more information regarding our office and other ways to get involved, please join our page on BroncNation or visit us in the BLC Student Affairs Suite.
