How Margherita Pizzi found her #HomeAtRider: “As an international student from Italy, my journey has been anything but traditional. I came to the U.S. six years ago to dance in a professional ballet company, but ended up finding a second passion in movement and rehabilitation. After completing two years of community college in just one, I transferred to Rider to finish my degree in exercise science. Rider’s incredible transfer community made the transition easy, helping me find my place and feel at home. During my time here, I’ve had the chance to work at the @rideruniversitysrc and complete several physical therapy internships, which really helped me apply what I was learning in class to the real world. Some of my favorite Rider memories include late-night study sessions with friends and amazing trips to NYC and D.C. with my international peers. If you’re thinking about coming to Rider, my advice is simple: don’t be afraid to be yourself and enjoy every moment. It goes by fast.” Margherita is a senior international student majoring in exercise science. She’s a member of @rider_tsa and @rideroie. After graduation, she’ll be moving to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to work as a physical therapy assistant while pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy.
