How Mateo Vasquez found his #HomeAtRider: "I chose to attend Rider because I was inspired by a best friend’s father who attended the University when he was my age. He pointed out many things about the school that would help me get ahead in my life. And he was right. Rider's smaller size allows me to better connect with professors and administrators, and the overall community helps me focus more easily on the life that I want to live — that is, one focused on my education, character, and, of course, my career. One of my favorite Rider memories was winning the Business in Action competition with my group in the Spring of 2023. We sold clothing inspired by mental health awareness, particularly regarding student mental health. It was a very insightful and rewarding experience. If you are considering coming to Rider, it's important to always remember that people are here to help you, you just need to reach out. Also, don't forget to live with kindness and show those around you the brighter side of the human experience. Be the light for yourself and others."
