Students in the Department of Media Arts have multiple opportunities to grow as creative professionals through the various co-curricular activities offered by our department. Students interested in working on independent films are encouraged to pitch ideas to faculty who will work alongside them to help support their vision. Additional opportunities include:
- Alternative Film Club: screen and discuss films of multiple genres with a community of fellow students with a love for film. Learn more

- Rider E-Sports Club: Rider’s E-Sports Club is where gaming and athletics meet. In this club, which is part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), participants form teams across multiple video games to practice and compete against schools across the country. Learn more

- Rider University Pep Band: this completely student-run organization will give you the chance to engage in your love of music with opportunities to perform at campus-wide events, Rider Division I sports games and travel tournaments. Learn more
- Rider Pop, Rock and Hip-Hop Ensemble: develop as an artist and musician while gaining valuable rehearsal and performance experience by joining this contemporary ensemble. You’ll also have access to professional equipment including instruments, production facilities, performance and rehearsal spaces, and more.
- Rider University Network (R.U.N.): join this student-run production service that produces a weekly news magazine program. R.U.N. participants write, produce and direct programs distributed over Rider's campus-wide cable system. Learn more
