Rider named one of top colleges in NJ by organization
Rider was named one of the best colleges in the nation by Colleges of Distinction. Rider was also one of 11 institutions of higher education recognized in New Jersey.
Colleges of Distinction recognized Rider for its business, education, career development, equity and inclusion, and military support programs.
"These rankings are a testament to Rider's approach to engaged learning, dedication to equity and inclusion, and support for service members," says Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs DonnaJean Fredeen. "Our students are able to explore their passions through a number of enriching experiences that directly contribute to their career success and personal growth."
Colleges of Distinction, which is celebrating its 20th year, consistently ranks student-centered schools, whose primary goals are based on student success and satisfaction. Colleges of Distinction evaluates schools based on student engagement, teaching, community and outcomes.
“We complete a thorough review of the programs before granting the honors,” says Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer for Colleges of Distinction. “We’re looking for qualities such as accreditation, breadth of program, advising and mentoring, integration of career services, and successful outcomes for students. It’s wonderful to see how Rider University really exemplifies these qualities.”
