The Academic Success Center Writing Studio is located in the Bart Luedeke Center, Suite 237. We provide free individual tutoring for: writing, reading comprehension, study strategies, English Language Learners (ELL), and Praxis Reading/Writing preparation. We also offer in-class support, upon faculty request, for writing intensive courses across-the-disciplines.
For inquiries about the Academic Success Center Embedded Tutoring program, please visit the Embedded Tutoring program page.
The Writing Studio is staffed by highly qualified peer and professional tutors. The Student Writing Consultants are undergraduate and graduate students who are specially trained by the Writing Studio Manager before they begin tutoring. Additionally, faculty, staff, and professional tutors provide supplemental training to ensure the Student Writing Consultants effectively assist students with their writing processes. Many of the student consultants have successfully completed a semester-long course, Theories of Writing and Tutoring.
Our Professional Tutors must have at least a bachelor’s degree though many have advanced degrees and experience as instructors at Rider. Several of our Professional Tutors are Rider alum. To learn more information, please visit our Professional Tutors page.
To schedule an appointment for assistance with writing, reading, study strategies, and/or ESL, please call 609-896-5008 or log on to TracCloud with your Bronc username and password.
