First-year students entering Rider University's prestigious accounting program have a more affordable path to earning both an undergraduate and a graduate degree in only five years. 

Program Benefits

1. Accelerate your education by earning a B.S.B.A. in Accounting in four years, plus your graduate business degree in one additional year
2. $2,000 annual scholarship award, renewable for the lesser of 8 consecutive semesters or completion of an undergraduate accounting degree
3. 30% tuition discount on one of the following on-campus graduate programs in the Norm Brodsky College of Business during your fifth year of study: 
   • Master’s of Accountancy (MAcc)
   • Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)
   • M.S. in Information Systems 

How to Apply

Apply to Rider University as a first-year undergraduate accounting major. If you meet the eligibility requirements, your admission letter will describe the award, undergraduate maintenance requirements and eligibility requirements for the graduate discount.

Undergraduate eligibility & maintenance requirements:

• High school GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Must enroll in freshman year as an accounting major 
• Must enroll for a minimum of 12 credits per semester
• Awarded a Presidential or Provost scholarship
• Must remain in good academic standing with the university, which is determined by the Committee of Academic Standing within each academic college.

Scholarship award to be determined at Rider’s discretion based on review of the student's academic record, including cumulative high school GPA, rigor of academic course selection, test scores (if applicable), and other supporting credentials.

Graduate eligibility & maintenance requirements: 

• Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or greater
• Students must be accounting majors and enroll successively from their undergraduate study to an on-campus graduate program in the Norm Brodsky College of Business

Important information: 

• Scholarship is renewable provided the academic requirements specified in the acceptance letter, including CGPA, are maintained 
• Scholarship cannot be renewed if the student’s major is changed
• If the scholarship is lost, it cannot be reinstated
• Graduate courses taken during undergraduate enrollment do not qualify for the discount
• Students may not receive a graduate tuition discount on top of other institutional gift aid funding sources, including but not exclusive of assistantships, other grants and scholarships, and institutionally provided aid

Appeals for unusual circumstances may be made to the Director of Financial Aid.
