Professional background and research interests
I am a licensed professional counselor and a registered play therapist. I am also a certified trainer and supervisor for child-centered play therapy (CCPT) and child-parent relationship therapy (CPRT). I have experiences working with children and their families experiencing various struggles, from diverse cultural backgrounds, and across settings. Working with caregivers and educators to help them enhance their relationships with children is another passion of mine. In addition, I provide play therapy related training locally, nationally, and internationally.
My research interests center on exploring the impact of play therapy (specifically child-centered play therapy) on children experiencing various struggles and multicultural issues related to counselor education and play therapy training.
