Many on-campus events are planned for September
Summer's not officially over, but school is back in session come the first week of September. A weekend full of events has been planned to help students ease into their first week, but there are a lot more student events planned on campus for the rest of the month too.
Here are the top five events happening at Rider in the first month of the fall semester:
Sept. 6: I Love College
Rider's official back-to-college party. Dance all night with your new friends, while the area’s best DJ’s make you feel like you're at one of the hottest clubs.
Sept. 13, 27: The R Factor
Any student can show off their vocal skills for a chance to become the next R Factor champion! This full production singing talent show where was named Best Campus Tradition 2017 by the National Association of Campus Activities. Auditions take place on Sept. 13, with the final scheduled for Sept. 27.
Sept. 14: Cranberry Fest
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Cranberry Fest. The highlight of this year's event will be a concert by singer, songwriter and actor Drake Bell! There will also be a food festival, interactive games, including inflatable jousting and a bungee trampoline, and a lot more.
Sept. 18: Comedian Kellen Erskine
He's appeared on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, NBC's America's Got Talent and the Amazon Original Series Inside Jokes. Erskine's clips on Dry Bar Comedy have garnered more than 30 million views alone! See him live in the Yvonne Theater.
Sept. 20: Fall concert
Past performers of Rider's annual fall concert have included PnB Rock, Tinashe, A$AP Ferg and Travis Scott. The announcement of this year's performers will take place at I Love College on Sept. 6.
