Rider’s Department of Health Sciences and Nursing features outstanding, interdisciplinary programs to prepare students to enter a variety of careers in health care, nursing, wellness and other public health professions. Nursing at Rider
Rider offers a variety of dynamic CCNE-accredited online nursing programs that allow practicing nurses to continue to care for their community while pursuing higher education and expanding their scope of practice. Each program is designed to fit your schedule and you will have the ability to complete your clinical hours in the timeframe that works best for you.

Internships, programs and opportunities
We believe you learn best when you apply classroom skills to real-world settings. That’s why we give all our students the opportunity to gain essential hands-on experience, develop on-the-job skills and make connections through our internship, research, independent study and professional opportunities.
Access to Rider’s 21 NCAA Division I sports teams also allows students in our programs the unique opportunity to work with athletes to put their knowledge, techniques and wellness strategies to practice and further develop their expertise.
Students have completed internships on campus with Rider’s Strength and Conditioning program, Rider’s Athletic Training, and various locations off campus based on their interests and career goals.
Labs and facilities
Our state-of-the-art labs and teaching facilities offer students the opportunity to learn in simulation spaces and classrooms that allow them to gain practical experience in clinical scenarios, get hands-on and develop an increased understanding of program coursework.
