Dear Rider community,
As you heard last week, President Dell’Omo will retire next July at the end of his current contract. As we embark on a search for Rider’s next President, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in Rider’s journey, amidst a challenging environment impacting higher education overall. A thoughtful, yet focused approach to finding our next President is required by all involved.
The Board of Trustees has engaged Storbeck Search, a well-respected firm in the higher education recruitment space, to assist us. The Storbeck team has done several searches for Rider and knows our University well. Storbeck was selected after interviewing several firms and their history with Rider, recent search work, and overall commitment to and focus on higher education made them the ideal partner for the work ahead.
The search process will begin with a series of listening sessions with our campus community. Over the coming weeks, there will be several opportunities for faculty, staff and students to meet with representatives from Storbeck and myself to share their thoughts and hopes for the future of Rider and our next President. Your input is a vital part of the process and will inform and guide our next steps.
The following listening sessions have been scheduled. You do not need to register or RSVP in advance to attend.

The search for a new President is one of the most important responsibilities tasked to a Board of Trustees, and our Board is committed to finding a leader who is uniquely positioned to navigate the University through this challenging period and ensure our success for years to come.
Thank you for your support of Rider and this important process.
Sincerely,
Joe McDougall
Chair of the Presidential Search Committee
