Rider University will celebrate its colorful heritage at the 18th annual University Day festivities on Thursday, April 7, with a daylong series of events on both campuses.

Rider University will celebrate its colorful heritage at the 18th annual University Day festivities on Thursday, April 7, with a daylong series of events on the Lawrenceville and Westminster Choir College campuses commemorating the anniversary of the day Rider was granted university status by the state of New Jersey in 1994. University Day is celebrated every spring on the Thursday closest to April 13, the proper anniversary of Rider’s elevated status.
The University Day schedule is as follows:
8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
University Day Morning Greeters with Muffins and Coffee
Academic Quad
Sponsored by Association of Commuting Students
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
University Day Luncheon – Lawrenceville Campus
Daly Dining Hall
Includes personal cake decorating, DJs by student Kevin Boone, sand art, photo booth, a prize crane, and a menu of grilled salmon with lemon grass dill sauce, roasted carved bourbon glazed New York strip, and mushroom ravioli with sun-dried tomato basil cream sauce.
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
University Day Picnic – Westminster Campus
Front Lawn in front of Williamson Hall
(Rain location will be the Dining Commons)
A Great Gatsby-esque, 1920s-themed picnic and lawn party featuring bocce ball and croquet. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets!
