Currently Patricia Landy maintains a private piano studio, teaches at Westminster Conservatory, and coaches chamber music for the Honors Music Program. Her students are frequent laureates in area, state and regional festivals and competitions. Dr. Landy enjoys performing as a soloist and chamber music player in the tri-state area.
For Westminster Choir College, Dr. Landy serves as an adjunct professor for Graduate Piano Pedagogy Internships. Most recently she was nominated for the Steinway and Sons Top Teacher award for 2017. She created and directed Westminster Piano Chamber Music Camp as a part of the Conservatory’s summer programs from 2006-2013 and co-directed in the summers of 2014-2017.
Dr. Landy holds a D.M.A. in collaborative performance from the University of Southern California, where she received awards in pedagogy and the Koldofsky Fellowship in performance. She taught piano and performed frequently as a freelance accompanist in the greater Los Angeles area. She received her M.M. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her B.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). She served as staff accompanist for CIM and taught at the Cleveland Music School Settlement.
