Jasmine Johnson, originally from Paterson, NJ, is the new Director of The Center for Diversity & Inclusion. She holds a Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).
Jasmine has extensive experience in educational support and administration, having served as a Student Success Advisor and Assistant Director for the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Seton Hall University. In these roles, she provided academic, personal, and career guidance to students from diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Jasmine co-created and organized the University’s Q.U.E.E.N. (Queens Unapologetically Educated, Empowered & Noble) Program at Seton Hall. This living-learning community supported first-year Black women students through mentorship, academic engagement and innovative programming. She also co-led The Inclusion Alliance, developing DEI lessons and seminars along with training peer leaders to foster an inclusive campus environment.
Jasmine is a dedicated sports fan, cheering for the Boston Celtics and the New York Giants. She loves country music and enjoys time with her loving husband and their two-year-old daughter. Jasmine's work and personal life reflect her commitment to creating inclusive and supportive communities.
