Why did you join SGA?
I joined SGA because I wanted to be able to contribute to the community in the largest means possible. I have been in SGA since I came to campus because I resonated with its advocacy for the student experience. It is incredible to be part of an organization that essentially oversees and contributes to every aspect of student life.
Why do you bleed Cranberry?
I bleed Cranberry because Rider has opened so many doors for me, both personally and professionally, beyond what I thought I was capable of. My Rider experience has completely changed my life for the better, and it is gratifying to show support and give back to a place that has done so much for me.
What does diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you?
To me, the mission of JEDI is to provide comfort, support, and opportunities to all people. These initiatives allow us to be more compassionate, open-minded, and even bolster leadership skills. No individual can be a good leader without a proper understanding of and respect for those that they lead.
What are your favorite spots on campus?
I love taking walks around the lake, getting a bagel at Saxby’s, and taking a brain break in the Zen Den!
What is your mantra for this year?
My mantra for this year is “optimism and understanding.” I believe that always finding the positives in life and making an effort to see outside of your own perspective are essential to your happiness and how you interact with others.
