WHAT is the Rider Collegiate Business Concept Competition?
Have an innovative business idea? The Rider Collegiate Business Concept Competition is designed to recognize and promote exceptional effort, skill, and creativity among Rider University undergraduate students.
WHO is eligible?
All Rider University undergraduate students, individually or as a team.*
*Note – Teams cannot exceed four students
*Note – Each student may not have more than two submissions total, either individually or as part of a team/group.
HOW do students apply?
Please submit a 60 sec or less video to [email protected].
All videos must include:
- The name of your business concept
- A brief description of your business concept that includes:
- What it does
- Who is your targeted market
Your submission must be submitted by March 10th via email and the email must include:
- Your attached video
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your cell phone number
- Your year in school
- Your major
- Your business concept name
HOW are winners selected?
A set of judges review all entries. The top five entries will be invited to present their business concept before a panel of judges at a live pitch event. During the live pitch event, all finalists are given 5 minutes to present a pitch deck. Please download the judge’s rubric for detailed requirements. Scores will then be totaled to determine final placement.
The live pitch will take place at Rider in the evening of April 6, 2023.
